CELEBRATING SAFE MOTHERHOOD - a great show!

This exciting new exhibition combined a wide range of photographs and art work contributed by many generous people including AVI, Marie Stopes International, CKF, Zoos Vic, Mary Considine, Kathryn Portelli, Marnie Tole & Len Johnston. MSF contributed its magazines, Maggie Millar enlivened our opening and special thanks to the Zonta Club of Kyneton who loaned us an example of a birthing kit and their book of information - as well as officially opening the exhibition. The exhibition was inspired by the White Ribbon Alliance and their increased efforts to try to lower mortality rates of mothers and babies - by giving a "safe motherhood" environment and support during pregnancy and delivery - as well as us celebrating 100 years of International Women's Day. We would also like this exhibition to travel to other places - any ideas?? Ph Margaret 0438356025.

"KENYA CALLING"

Kenya presents a fascinating range of these magical animals to watch and photograph. Add flamingoes, elephants, rhinos and hippos, brightly painted villages, warriors and colourful cloths and you have a remarkable view of a far off land which faces enormous shortages of water and drought conditions as well as challenges in its economy. Margaret can arrange presentations on her trip to Kenya for interested schools or organisations.
